Sylvie Meis slachtoffer 'skin shaming'.
A couple of weeks ago I was more then excited to visit beautiful Indonesia. Proud to be a child of a mixed race (father Indonesian and Dutch) I always wanted to visit the country where my grandfather is from. This Asian part of me is something I'm proud of, I see it in my features, my height and of course the tone and colour of my skin! Disappointed and hurt I am by the articles some media write about my skin colour, something I'm just born with. In my point of view this is ignorantly written by some journalists, and therefore it is now the time for me to stand up against this form of 'skin shaming'. Sylvie
